Around our flat we like to have leisurely Saturday mornings with fun things for breakfast: croissants. bagels and salmon (OK that was Christmas morning) or scones, for instance.
My aunt sent me dried cherries awhile back and I've been holding them for some scones. Mmmm. Also, I should mention that I'm a fan of the "cream tea" habit of putting whipped cream on your scones (technically it's probably supposed to be devonshire, but really, who's going to argue about this?).
Today I made (top to bottom):
Antebellum Coffee Mini Scones (recipe to be perfected.... hopefully to come)
Chocolate Ginger Mini Scones (2 in the picture)
Michigan Dried Cherry Scones
Base recipe: Scone on the Range
